Curly Hair Y'ALL!!

WELL, I have been trying so many different things for my hair, including a Devachan hair cut, using only DevaCurl products, pineappling, clipping, the whole shebang!

Here is what I've realized:

1) You don't need to pay big bucks to get a great curly cut. Just make sure the stylist cuts your hair dry and curl by curl. I feel I may have wasted my $150 dollars at Devachan, but I did learn that if you look hard enough, you can find a great curly stylist.

2) You don't need to pay big bucks to get great curly hair products. Big names don't mean much. I've used the Devacurl Styling Creme for almost two months now, and I love the results. It smells like candy!! HOWEVER, I am certain that I can find great products at the drugstore or TARGET! Shop around and experiment.

3) Clipping is all well and dandy but sometimes it just doesn't do what I want it to do. Sometimes all you have to do is tip your head over, scrunch it all up and use a blow-dryer. VOLUME CITY!

4) Pineappling is awesome. I just did it last night for the first time and, while my hair is still drying at 6:57AM, the volume and definition is better than any DevaCurl clips!!

5) EXPERIMENT, EXPERIMENT, EXPERIMENT!

Hey guys!!! I'm writing a little post just to let you guys know what's up with my life!!

First, I quit my job. Yes, yes, I KNOW! I'll miss the money but my sanity and pride are worth it!

Second, I moved downstate to a city and I'm thrilled to be living here! I'm going to be learning how to navigate a city and become street smart.

Third, I'm getting my first curly girl haircut next Saturday at the Devachan salon in White Plains! I have an appointment with Lois and I REALLY want this to be a life-changing cut! I haven't had my hair cut in four years so I think I deserve a $150 hair cut. I'm worth it!!

Fourth, my 19th birthday is in a couple of weeks!! I'm going to a mall, which is HUGE, and spending time with my good good friends. That's what matters. Not really big parties. Just good friends!!

Fifth, I'm on a mission to lose 25 pounds before December 15th which is when I will see the Tenderloins in NYC!

WHEW! My life is crazy now but I love it!

Birchbox Goop October Video-WOWZA THAT'S A LOT OF VIEWS

Hey, guys! I hope everyone is safe after hurricane Sandy attacked! I'm doing well. Many of our roof tiles were blown off but we are fine. Three children died due to a fallen tree a town over, so God's hand was on us last night.

So, my Birchbox Goop October Box video is at almost 1,000 hits! That's a lot of me and I'm so surprised! The feedback has been completely positive and I've enjoyed reading what you guys have to say.

I sent an email to Birchbox, stating my discontent, and they sent me this email:
Alexandra, Oct 30 03:24 pm (EDT): Hi Gabrielle, Thanks for writing in and sending us your suggestion our way. We value our customers' suggestions and feedback greatly. I have passed this email along for you, and it will be taken into consideration as we continue to evolve as a Brand and Company! We will (hopefully) see these ideas implemented in the future. In the meantime, please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with! Have a great day.

Best, Alexandra Birchbox | Operations Associate 230 Park Avenue South, Suite 1201 New York, NY 10003 o. (877) 487-7272 email: info@birchbox.com loving: http://www.birchbox.com/shop/october2012-box-1/harvey-prince-eau-flirt-100ml

I think that one person cannot change a big company. It's very hard to do so. So we ALL need to send emails, make videos and COMPLAIN COMPLAIN COMPLAIN! If we gather together, we can get things done! P.S Can I just say how hysterical it is that "Alexandra" sent me what she is "loving" at the moment? A $98.00 100ml fragrance. Clearly someone is not listening to my complaints. ;)

Wet 'N Wild Makes My Heart Soar!

Hey, ladies!! Remember back in high school when you would drag your feet to the drugstore to buy terrible goopy lip glosses and crappy eyeshadows because you couldn't afford department store products?

 I sure do!

Well, I have a brand for you that puts the fun into drugstore makeup shopping! Wet 'N Wild is a commonly known drugstore brand and I used to buy from them since I was in high school. But, recently, they have stepped up their game and have come out with amazing products that fit any budget.

They have incredible color payoff, a wide shade range, and you don't feel guilty because the products are so inexpensive!

Here are some of my favorite WNW products: ColorIcon Eyeshadow Collection-My favorite is the Comfort Zone palette-all neutrals and I get the most compliments when I wear these shades. They blend like a dream and have great color payoff. They are about $4.99.

MegaLast Lipsticks-I've used NARS, MAC and Sephora Collection but no lipstick lasts on me like these babies. I love Bare It All (a great nude for tanned ladies-you won't look dead, Spotlight Red-a gorgeous true red, and Cherry Red-a vampy deliciously sexy deep red shade) The best thing is that they are only $2.99!

MegaLiner Liquid Liner-OH MY GOSH. I've used Stila, Sephora Collection, Smashbox, you name it....NOTHING compares to these liners!!!!!! I love the Black and the Dark Brown best!! $2.99

ColorIcon Blusher-These blushes are creamy and pigmented. Pearlescent Pink is a dupe for NARS's Orgasm and Mellow Wine is a beautiful deep matte pink. $2.99

Overall, Wet 'N Wild is a fantastic brand. I recommend them to anyone!!
